Dr. Ryan earned his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis, Ind., and completed general surgery residency at Good Samaritan Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.

He served in the United States Army as a battalion surgeon in Anchorage, Alaska and completed a tour in Afghanistan in 2011 as a task force surgeon. While commissioned, he received the Bronze Star, Army Commendation Medal, Afghan Campaign Medal and National Defense Service Medal for his services.

    Sean Ryan was also easy to speak with. He was very understandable about my situation and he explained things in a manner that I can understand it. He was exceptional with that and he all around service was, it was exceptional. Even the front office staff and everything was exceptional. Thank you.

    The visit was really fine with Dr. Ryan. And yes, he answered my questions. It was very nice. The only suggestion I would have at all is that he could slow down in his speech a little. He spoke very, very quickly, was a little difficult to understand, but that is all. Everything else I would give him a perfect score on pretty much.

      Dr. Ryan went above and beyond the call of duty. He acted as an intermediary between us and the nursing home to find out why my mom was still on a liquid diet and he explained to them what needed to be done. And he even explained stuff to us in a manner to we could understand and he's done a great job. I can't say enough about him. He's a great surgeon. Thank you.

      Very pleased with Dr. Ryan. He was very thorough, very cordial, explained everything, including going to the images and showing me what he had planned to do. And he will also coincide with another doctor who will be recording another operation that will affect his. Totally satisfied, would highly recommend this surgeon.       I have confidence in doctor Ryan based on reviews I read online l, not so much what I perceived in the office. However, I don't need bed side manner I need skill. I just wish he wouldn't speak so very fast. Some of what he was telling me about my surgery was said with his hand on the door knob going out the door. Even though my surgery will most likely be uneventful, I'd like to have had time to ask questions.
