About the Child Development Center

The UK King’s Daughters Child Development Center (CDC) was designed to provide a safe and nurturing environment and to foster the development of intellectual, physical, emotional, and social skills. Developmentally appropriate activities are provided to meet the individual needs and developmental levels of the children served. Classroom teachers provide play-based and teacher-directed learning experiences using various mediums including but not limited to, language and literacy, sensory exploration, fine and gross motor skills, and creative expression through art and music. Learning activities will take place both indoors and outdoors utilizing large and small group and individualized activities. 

History

In 2000, King's Daughters Medical center opened the newly established Child Development Center based on listening to the dynamic needs of our team. After researching and focused listening sessions, the center was designed and constructed to be a premier learning, development and fun environment for children. With a physical building designed for safety, security and convenience, the team designed an environment based on evidence for social, emotional and educational value.
