Rafiq Rahman, M.D.

This doctor was by far the best doctor that I've ever seen as far as specialists go. He took his time. His compassion was just unmatchable. His knowledge was incredible. His nurse was just absolutely perfect for him. They definitely compliment each other. I really have nothing bad to say. I'm very grateful for him.

Great staff and the Dr. was very informative. Very comfortable with my care.

Dr. Rahman takes time with the patients to give them some information on their diagnosis, their treatment plan. They come out knowing a lot more than when they went in. He doesn't hurry you or rush you. He'll take time to answer any questions that you have and if he can't find it, he'll look it up on the chart. He's just an excellent provider. Thank you.

The biggest problem is with billing the VA Afares they have got it wrong 3 times

I am very, very happy with the service I received by Dr. Rahmad. He took the time to listen to me and hear me out. He was very kind and gentle with the bad news that he had to share and very informative. I would definitely recommend him to any family or friend. And The only complaint that I have is the wait time was almost two hours, but I also understand that he has quite a few patients and there were many before me. So definitely, definitely recommend and totally appreciate how he handled my visit.

Dr. Rahman and his team are amazing!!!

I had a much better experience with Dr Rahman than with the Nurse Practitioner. The major issue I continue to have is there is continued documentation that a physical exam was completed. for example, in his clinical notes, he documents that my abdomen was soft and that my pupils were equal, round, and reactive to light. This documentation is included so that my insurance can be billed at a higher rate. This practice is fraudulent, and I have an issue with this. I have no problem with the elevated billing if the actual physical exam was completed, but it was not.

The doctor explained everything on a level that we could understand. He took time to listen to our questions, listened to all of our concerns. I left feeling that he responded well to us, took time to instruct us, and felt really much relieved when I left. He's a very knowledgeable doctor and thank you for my care.

Yes, I'm an oncology patient with polycythemia and just recently started doing blood work but you don't have nurses to do the phlebotomy that may be required depending on what the blood work says and there's no way a pair of M&A's in the blood work to the hospital at Highlands and has been looked over the blood work and then called in the next day to schedule a thrombotomy

The visit with Dr. Rahman was a wonderful visit. He knows how to explain things to a non-medical person. He was very clear and precise about what's going on with my health. And it was actually an enjoyable visit.

The doctor and nurse were fabulous! They took care of me. The nurse that drew my blood was the most gentle stick I've ever had. The doctor knew about my prior history and explained everything very thoroughly.

I think the staff is all excellent and they're real informative and very kind and caring people. I'd recommend them to anyone.

In oncology, the blood doctor office, they deal with cancer patients and people who are dealing with horrible things. So the time issue, it was OK. I didn't mind waiting. But it did take a little long to see him. But his diagnosis, his care, what he wants to do, he was attentive, he was concerned. I'm very happy with him. Thank you.

Last 3 visits each was less than 5 minutes. I might as well just have email correspondence instead.

All staff in that department are very courteous.
